We are honoured to announce a fabulous line up of guest speakers and performers for our 2nd Annual Gala Dinner to be held at the University Club of Western Australia on the 11th September 2015.
Professor John Newnham AM, will lead the night's speeches. John is Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at The University of Western Australia (UWA) and is a sub-specialist in Maternal Fetal Medicine. He is Head of the UWA School of Womenβs and Infantsβ Health based at King Edward Memorial Hospital; Deputy Dean of the UWA Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences; and Executive Director of the Women and Infants Research Foundation. He is also Chair of the Western Australian Preterm Birth Prevention Initiative known as The Whole Nine Months.
Theresa Miloseski, will share her family's personal story. Theresa is mother to Stella (3), Australia's most preterm baby born at 22 weeks 5 days gestation weighing only 440g. She is also a success story of the latest evidence-based clinical practice guidelines as developed by The Whole Nine Months campaign, giving birth to Sam (2) at 36 weeks 6 days gestation. Theresa recently appeared on SBS's Insight program 'Edge of Life'.
St Hilda's incredibly talented musicians will be providing entertainment during the night as part of their giving back to the community program. Thanks to the students and Director of Music, Tim Chapman, for supporting our event.
We also have fantastic silent auction and raffle items to be won during the night.
